Princeton Consultants Welcomes Dr. Jeffrey Day as an Optimization Engineer

Jeff has been a consultant and esteemed optimization practitioner for more than 20 years, with experience at industry-leading companies and at optimization and analytics software providers. At Schneider, Jeff was the lead engineer of IT Research and co-created a tactical planning simulator to optimize driver recruiting, hours of service, scheduled time-at-home and more–the project won the Wagner Prize and the INFORMS Prize, and was a semifinalist for the INFORMS Edelman Award. As a principal data scientist at GE Transportation, Jeff worked with clients to boost performance in transportation and logistics, and he developed a methodology to aggregate shipping container data in a single system, reducing turnaround time for the largest U.S. port. He has worked on successful optimization applications in healthcare, consumer goods, media, entertainment, and other industries. From Georgia Tech, Jeff earned his PhD and MS in Operations Research, and his BS in Industrial Engineering.
