Growth Strategy: Biotech Manufacturing

At a biotech startup, leaders were planning operations once the company emerged from clinical trials. Seeking to reduce the high production costs resulting from small batch sizes and manual processing, they were challenged by a lack of data and insufficient software tools and other resources.

Princeton developed a manufacturing plant optimizing simulation for rigorous evaluation of different scenarios related to process improvement and scalability, plant scheduling strategy, and capacity planning, and for preparation of production when it became commercialized.

The company was acquired for $9 billion.

Growth Strategy: Due Diligence

For a North American railroad, Princeton led the technical evaluation of a third-party platform provider including application functionality, technical scalability and recommendations for improving and scaling the business.

The current Intermodal and Automotive Systems of a Class 1 Railroad are reaching the end of their life cycle, in terms of their ability to support future business needs, as well as from a technology standpoint.

Princeton was engaged to evaluate build vs. buy option.
