Webinar: Optimization Solution Development and Deployment – A Framework for Success with Irv Lustig

For more than 44 years, Princeton Consultants has developed and deployed numerous applications that leverage optimization to make better decisions for our clients. We have developed a set of best practices over that time that are also reflected in the recently published INFORMS Analytics Framework (IAF), for which Irv was a key contributor. The IAF provides a roadmap for successful analytics projects, including optimization, and contains specific tasks related to risk management.

Irv will describe both the IAF and the Princeton 20, a set of 10 environmental and 10 technical risks to be evaluated at the commencement of any project. Understanding these risks in the context of the framework leads to best practices that improve the chances of success for your next optimization project.

As Optimization Principal at Princeton Consultants, Irv leads our development of custom optimization software. An internationally recognized leader in operations research and advanced analytics, Irv joined Princeton Consultants from IBM Research, where he cultivated state-of-the-art approaches for the next generation of optimization/business integration. Irv received Sc.B. and Sc.M. degrees in Applied Mathematics/Computer Science from Brown University and a Ph.D. in Operations Research from Stanford University, where he studied under George Dantzig, the father of linear programming. He has authored more than 30 articles and scientific papers and has received the Beale-Orchard-Hays prize for excellence in computational mathematical programming. Irv is a longtime active member of INFORMS and a Certified Analytics Professional.
