Sean joins us from Columbia University, where he earned a BA in Computer Science and Philosophy. Sean’s research projects have included: applying Python to field photography to detect fungus threatening corn production; detecting black hole mergers through signal processing; medical image analysis to highlight cancerous tissue; and mapping application development to visualize COVID spread and locate safe outdoor areas. For four years Sean was a writer, editor and researcher for the Columbia Science Review. He enjoys reading history and sci-fi, scientific and creative writing, and cooking. Sean is a Lincoln, NE native.
