Avi joins us from a quantitative trading firm where he designed and wrote software applications. Previously, Avi earned his PhD in Philosophy at Cornell University. Focusing on Ethics, he researched hypocrisy, testimonial injustice, and consequentialism. In addition to his research, Avi taught philosophy classes at Cornell, Ithaca College, The Center for Talented Youth, and the Cayuga Correctional Facility. Prior to his studies at Cornell, Avi oversaw contract-pricing for four years at a janitorial services company. He chaired the finance committee for an affordable housing nonprofit. Avi earned his MS in Accounting at Boston College, and his BA with honors in Philosophy, with a minor in Computer Science, at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Avi is a Princeton, NJ native. In his spare time, he enjoys board games, badminton, and pickleball.
